Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. Her father, an Argentinan of Scottish and English descendant is also her mother. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four brothers and sisters, with one coming at each one of their parents' previous marriages. Family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and that she didn't study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed from Northlands and then Hill House. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London in which she attended ballet classes and took part in drama productions. She dropped out of high school at 16 to focus on her acting career. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to become an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the possibility to be a model.
